There’s more to choosing our next arrivals than browsing a catalogue. We want to see the furniture, try the seating and speak to the people behind the designs before deciding what to bring to Sofa Emporium.
We’ve recently attended both the Minerva Autumn Furniture Show in Telford and Annaghmore’s home show in Belfast, with one aim: finding new products we hope to introduce before Christmas.
Looking beyond the photographs
Furniture shows give us the opportunity to compare designs in person. A sofa might catch our eye across a stand, but sitting down, feeling the upholstery and looking at the finishing details help us decide whether it deserves a closer look.
We’re looking for furniture that has something useful to offer our customers, whether that’s a comfortable seating position, a practical size, an appealing fabric or features that make everyday use easier.
The questions we ask are much like the ones you ask in our showrooms: How does it feel? What colours are available? How much room does it need? And when could it arrive?

We’re working towards introducing selected new products ahead of the festive season. Before announcing individual arrivals, we’ll be checking the available options, prices and expected timescales with our suppliers.
As selections are confirmed, we’ll share photographs and product details through our website and social pages, including where you can see the furniture and how to enquire.
If you need furniture delivered before Christmas, please speak to us about the exact model you’re considering. A new product joining our range does not automatically mean it is available for pre-Christmas delivery; we’ll confirm the current position for your choice before you order.
